Forsberg Back

Peter Forsberg has changed his mind and has decided to return to the NHL.  He signed a one year contract with his former club, the Colorado Avalanche.  The Swedish sniper has missed this season with an ankle injury and had stated last week that he did not feel he could play this year, but obviously that has changed.

Colorado is trying to get back into the playoffs and currently sit in 10th place in the West.  They have dealt with injuries all year but have recently got most of their players back.

  1. Having Peter Forsberg back in The NHL is good for hockey. It’s also nice to see him back where he made his career.

  2. I’m glad he didn’t sign with the Flyers… Colorado is going retro 2001 cup style by signing Forsberg and bringing back Adam Foote. Sakic was just activated from IR, all they are missing is Rob Blake who a lot of people, including everyone on TSN, thought they’d acquire. It is good to have Peter back in the NHL but I have a strange feeling that it’s only a matter of time before he misses significant time due to injury.
