Forsberg Failure?

Just a week into the Peter Forsberg experiment,  it appears to be going South.  Forsberg has missed the Avs last two games due to a groin injury which proves it is more than his ankle that will have trouble keeping up in the NHL.

Forsberg has always had trouble staying the lineup and missed most of this season due to a recurring ankle injury.  In a surprise move he signed with the Avs days after saying he would not play in the NHL this year.

I personally think the signing was a poor decision as Colorado has had no trouble scoring goals, and at the time were getting their injured stars back.  Who knows though, only time will tell if this was a good or bad decision for the Avs.

  1. Like a lot of people, I was excited to hear him come back to the NHL. However, now I’m a little disappointed with him, especially after his agent said he wasn’t likely going to come back this year because of his injuries. Even Brian Burke applauded him for deciding not to return (at the time) when he could’ve easily signed with a team, milked them for their money, and sat off to the sidelines for the remainder of the season.

  2. I think you will see Forsberg make more of an impact in the playoffs.
