TSN and CBC have recently conducted a pole to see who should represent Canada at the 2010 winter Olympics in Men’s Ice Hockey and the results are hard to argue with.  The Calgary Flames are represented by three players; Jarome Iginla, Dion Phaneuf and Robyn Regehr.  Roberto Luongo and Martin Brodeur were the top two goaltenders while Sidney Crosby, Jasan Spezza and Dany Heatley were among the top vote getter’s on the offensive side of the team.

Obviously with this happening two years early many things could happen but no matter who is on the team I will be excited to watch them play.

Who do you think is missing?

A pair of Montreal Canadien players were arrested outside of a Florida nightclub early Monday Morning.  Defenseman Ryan O’Byrne was accused of stealing a patrons purse while forward Tom Kostopoulos was arrested for resisting an officer.

Both players were released on bail, and it is not known if they will play in Tuesday’s game against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

O’Byrne was just recalled from Hamilton, the Habs AHL affiliate.

Jarome Iginla has been named Captain of the Western Conference all-stars for the upcoming NHL all-star game.  It is the first time he has been named captain, or even been in the starting line up for that matter.  He will be joined by teammate Dion Phaneuf on defense.  The all-star game will be in Atlanta this year on January 27.  Vincent Lecavailer will captain the Eastern Conference team.  TSN Link.
